In response to the nourishment exercise, students answered the questions:
1. What does nourishment mean to you and how did you express that in clay?
2. What was it like to collaborate on the pieces?

1. When I think about nourishment, satiation is accompanied by contentment and fullness. This same feeling can be achieved through relationships, education, art, nature, and sweatpants. This can be expressed in clay through literal or figurative representations. I made nesting bowls to show the feeling of filling up a whole.

2. I really liked working off another idea as inspiration, to finish a ceramic sentence, so to speak.  It was awesome to see how each piece transformed into something completely new in the hands of someone with a different perspective than the original maker.
