New Work

These larger pieces utilize clay and mixed materials as well as bricks I made using Philadelphia harvested clay.

Invasive Species looks to past industries of Philadelphia including agriculture, textiles, and clay as a way to consider the impact of colonial settler history in the region.

Findings and Notions is hung with materials connected to textile work including buttons, spools, thimbles, bobbins, and clothing. This piece is a reflection on the lives and labor of my Italian and Jewish immigrant family who labored in various elements of textile work.

Clay Incorporated considers the mining, collecting, and processing of clay and metals often used in ceramic art practices; and the industries and goods produced utilizing clay, such as paper and rubber. The glazes are made with cobalt, nickel, and copper, and the paper is dyed with the same materials.
