Overlooked
This series began with the space of the windowsill as a border between inside and outside, literally and figuratively. I was thinking about the often unseen and overlooked lives of people living with disability and the mundane tableaus as a type of still life to reveal and document a life. The series expanded from the still life to consider “classic” and “traditional” forms. I utilize the vessel as a cultural and contextual object and as a means to conjure the individual and collective body.
